Thursday In Maggie Valley, NC

IMG_0769Today we woke up to rain, still very beautiful here in the mountains. When the rain cleared for awhile, we headed down to the Rally in the Valley. People of all walks of life are there, walking around looking at all the vender’s merchandise. We meet a couple of guys, one from LaBelle, FL and his buddy from TN. We have conversation and try to share Christ with them. We hand out scripture coins to several people we meet. There is a Biker Church that has set up a booth, so we talk to them awhile. One of our concerns about Bike Ministry is that once they are saved, where do they go for discipleship? Churches like this one help meet that need, as well as biker friendly churches. We hope to visit one of their church in the future.

After another rain, we decided to head over to Crazy Bob’s ( Biker friendly Store). Looked around awhile and headed over next door for ice cream. The sky opened up and more rain came than they had received in over 5 years. The museum next door and the store we are in starts flooding. The owner runs out to try and open the drains, which leaves the older lady working there to deal with the water coming in. The two mops looked like they came in a little girls play housekeeping set. Not Good! Keith takes one of the mops and starts mopping up the water. After ten or fifteen minutes the rain slows and we get the water up. Then they realize that the cooler is standing in water. Keith takes care of that problem as well. The people in the store could not believe that we would mop up that water and care about their situation. You have to realized that we were in our biker gear wearing our colors. Because we were willing to humble ourselves and mop floors, we were able to show the love of Christ. Today they have free ice cream for us! The Lord is Good!

I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord!

IMG_0582I am so thankful that the Lord already knows the plans for each of us! We returned Friday from the Dallas Fort Worth area. While there, we attended a US Missions, Motorcycle Chaplains Conference. Our call is to follow Him, even so, our vision can get cloudy. I am so appreciative of the great men in authority and leadership of Chaplaincy in the Assemblies of God! Zollie Smith’s leadership clearly brought clear and defined goals for the future of motorcycle ministry in the Assemblies of God. Our desire is to focus onto the call and goals that Christ has set before us.
